Privacy Policy

1. Summary

FluoPDF provides browser-based PDF tools. The vast majority of your files never leave your computer — only files you explicitly upload (for example Pro cloud storage or OCR) are sent to our servers.

2. Data We Collect

• Account data: email, name (optional), and a password hash (handled by Appwrite Auth).
• Usage data: which tools are used, and anonymous page views.
• Document metadata: the size and name (not the content) of files Pro users upload.
• Payments: processed by Lemon Squeezy; we never store your card details.

3. FluoLock™ Encryption

With FluoLock, your password is never sent to a server. Key derivation happens in your browser and only encrypted data is stored. If you forget your password, the file cannot be recovered.

4. Third-Party Services

• Appwrite (Auth, Database, Storage) — self-hosted on our infrastructure
• Lemon Squeezy — payment processing (Merchant of Record)
• OpenRouter — AI processing for the AI Assistant and translation features (Pro)
• Analytics — anonymous usage measurement

5. Your GDPR & CCPA Rights
